Wild Hearts: All Fusion Karakuri and how to unlock them

Move over Trunks and Goten. There’s a new fusion sheriff in town and its name is Wild Hearts.

While Wild Hearts often gets compared to the king of hunting games, Monster Hunter, the upstart entry has one unique mechanic that sets it apart from the genre stalwart — karakuri. That would be the old-fashioned gadgets that give hunters a leg up in battling against the powerful large “kemono” monsters that populate the game.

Not only can you create all sorts of contraptions in the game, you can fuse them as well to concoct incredibly useful gadgetry that’s greater than the sum of its parts. The recipes for these Karakuri Fusion combinations are typically learned in the heat of battle against specific monsters while having the necessary Karakuri gadgets saved in your loadout. When you do see these inspirations flashes, make sure you follow the onscreen instructions to a tee or else you’ll end up canceling the unlock and have to wait for it to come up during the fight again (or hunt the monster all over).

On that note, here is a list of all the Fusion Karakuri in Wild Hearts, what monster fights unlock them and which Karakuri you need to use to make them. Note that the list will spoil some monster names.

Also, a quick tip for folks who are having a hard time memorizing the karakuri fusion combinations. If you press the top left bumper button on your controller (which is the default button for summoning your karakuri creation menu), you can actually see an action guide short cut on the top right of the screen that shows the button combinations for the various fusions you've unlocked.
